While insurance may cover the cost of replacing some items, much of the equipment will need to be repaired and restored to operational status as soon as possible. Surprisingly, many electronic and electrical components can withstand exposure to water; in fact, water cleaning is a common method used in manufacturing processes to clean assemblies. Although certain components, such as power supplies, may not be recoverable, a significant portion of electronic equipment can be successfully restored.
